Dr. Ehsan Mollasalehi is a Professional Engineer (P.Eng.) with nearly a decade of experience within the energy sector. He has a Masters and Ph.D in Mechanical Engineering from the Schulich School of Engineering at University of Calgary. He specialized on small-scale wind turbines for both urban and remote applications and condition monitoring of large-scale wind turbine operations. As part of his research, he collaborated with a large Canadian wind farm owner operating in both Eastern and Western Canada. He published the projects outcomes in several peer-reviewed journals and has presented in International and National renewable energy conferences.

Ehsan’s involvement in the renewable energy sector started with solar energy projects, which produced electricity for high-rise buildings in developing countries. His diverse portfolio also has several years of experience in the oil and gas industry working as a Mechanical Engineer, Project Engineer, and Engineering Management for major oil sand projects. He has been recognized for his outstanding work performance and significant cost reduction of all projects he has been involved in. He remains an active member in the America Society of Mechanical Engineers, Institute of Electrical and Electronic Engineers, and Canadian Machinery Vibration Association.

As Chief Technical Officer at WATT, Dr. Mollasalehi leads the development and launch of WATT’s new renewable energy streams. He manages the technical specifications, supplier agreements and securing of launch partner customers. He is responsible for the day-to-day operation of the company to support growth and direct operations to support the company’s goals. He is responsible for finding new areas for development and improvement.
