Ernie Mapanao has over twenty-five (25) years of experience as Operations Manager, Sr. Project Manager, and Engineering Manager in Renewable Energy, Oil & Gas, Oilsands and Petrochemicals industry (both in the Middle East and Canada).
His experience also includes development of basic & detailed design deliverables including distribution, detailed design of Solar Power system using Photovoltaic cells.
His technical experience includes but not limited to HV & MV Substations and Modular E-rooms, testing and commissioning, development of DBSP, FEED & detailed design engineering work packages, construction supervision, electrical inspection, testing and commissioning of various LV/MV/HV Electrical Substations and Switching Stations including Customer’s Distribution Network.
His experience also includes Engineer/Electrical Adviser for the Operation and Maintenance of Port Electrical Distribution Network and Construction of 3 x 3 MVA, 13.8kV Emergency Power Station to supply essential loads to End User’s in case of power failure including 2 X 60 MVA, 115kV/34.5 kV Main Power Transformer and associated 34.5 kV Switching Stations and 34.5kV/13.8kV/2.4kV/480V Substations.
Ernie Mapanao obtained his Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering in his native country of Philippines from National University. Ernie is a registered Professional Electrical Engineer in the Philippines, Professional Regulations Commission and also a Professional Engineer of The Association of Professional Engineers and Geoscientists of Alberta, Canada (APEGA).
